Turtles Fighters has been released!

I am delighted to announce that just a couple of days ago a brand-new game saw the light of day — Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fighters. This fan-made fighting game about the legendary Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is already available for download! An unexpected but very pleasant gift for all retro gaming fans, especially for those who own Spectrum clones such as TS Conf and Sprinter. And for those who don't have retro hardware, there is also a Windows version with a built-in emulator.

About the game

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fighters is a 1-vs-1 fighting game created from scratch by the talented developer Alexander Tmk deMarche and the ZX-FANS-TEAM. The game engine is completely original and has its own unique features. The character graphics are inspired by the classic SNES version of the game, while the other elements are drawn from scratch or redrawn based on images found online. Special attention should be paid to the atmosphere and the detailed rendering of the characters and locations, which are simply incredibly dynamic and create the effect of full three-dimensional immersion. And each character has 120 different poses — cool, right? The game was made so that you can spend time with friends by organizing a real tournament and competing for the golden winner's cup! Four playable characters are available: Leo, Don, Mike, and Raph. Each of them has their own unique features and super moves. You will have to choose which of the heroes will become your favorite in order to defeat all opponents. And if you are spending an evening alone — no problem, the game has a built-in bot that will easily keep you company, and beating it will not be so easy!

Controls and super moves

The game's controls are designed for a 6-button joystick, and Sega and 8bit-do standards are supported. Each hero has close-range and long-range attacks, and when you are at point-blank range, the set of attacks changes slightly. Throws are performed by pressing back + X or Y when you are close to the opponent. And to dodge an attack, you can perform a backflip by pressing back, back. In this mode, invulnerability is active.
